Produced in 1991.

Such vests was produced from 1989 to 1998. in various variations.

6b5-17 is the maximum front protection with carbide burr plates overlapped in the inner pockets of the protective screen. The rear side of the fighter is protected by lightweight titanium plates. Also, the bulletproof vest is equipped with internal anti-ricochet sheets.

Set:
1. Vest cover (front and back) with pouches for AK/AKM mags and 4 grenades, a buttbag on the back.
2. Tvaron (kevlar) sheets - 2 pcs.
3. Mounting protective panels with pockets for armor plates - 2 pcs.
4. Boron carbide armor plates for the front - 18 pcs.
5. Titanium armor plates for the rear - 12 pcs.

The total weight of the vest is almost 12 kilograms.

You could see such vests on the fighters of the KGB of the USSR (assault on the White House in 1993 and on the fighters of group "B" Vympel TsSN FSB (in 1995 in Chechnya). Also, these bulletproof vests were used by paratroopers of the Russian army during a peacekeeping mission in Yugoslavia in 1999 .
